Death Belles Workshop
Open Page held a development workshop in July 2025 at the Park Theatre for Death Belles - Annie's one-hour theatrical piece comprising four dark, lyrical monologues:
-
Faulty
-
Threshold
-
All That Remains
-
The Prophecy
Each explores the moment a woman crosses an irreversible line - with language that is rich, unsettling, and powerfully intimate.
Led by Penny Gkritzapi’s, the session became a space for in-depth character exploration, close text analysis, and bold creative choices - all underpinned by games, laughter, and a genuine spirit of collaboration.

Barkley
Annie's monologue was part of "Under Construction" at The Lion & Unicorn Theatre on Sunday 29th June 2025.
Directed by Christina Raisea Murphey
Performed by Aldana Zulaica
Barley is a raw and intimate monologue. Set against the backdrop of a cold morning walk, Hannah unravels the tightly wound threads of grief, resentment , and love in the wake of a miscarriage and the emotional fallout of failed IVF.
Barkley, the dog she never wanted,, becomes both a symbol of unbearable loss and unexpected solace.

GrimFest Scratch Night
Annie's monologue "Faulty" was performed at The GrimFest Scratch Night at The Old Red Lion Theatre on 29th April 2025.

Performed by George Bird

Lily is a fast-talking, football-loving 16-year-old with a close-knit family, and a habit of knocking people over on the dancefloor. But when an offhand comment at school plants a seed of doubt, Lily starts to ask questions no one wants to answer, which leads to a secret no one meant to tell.
What begins as a light-hearted reflection quickly spirals into an emotionally charged journey, as a devastating secret about Lily comes to light and a single, irreversible moment changes everything.
Some stories don’t end the way you expect...

Threshold
